Website Project Manager

The Website Project Manager (WPM) collaborates with the Digital Team and the agency partners on the overall strategic plans and objectives for our clients and Agency Creative (AC). The WPM takes the lead on Website projects whether assigned by client and/or other agency partners. The ideal WPM must thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment, have exceptional organizational skills, have a proactive attitude, excellent people skills and a sincere interest in the client’s business. The WPM is primarily responsible for ensuring that the agency output adheres to the client objectives, meets client deadlines, and achieves the agency standard of quality and models and acts in accordance with Agency Creative (AC) “I OWN IT” (IOI) principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Project Leadership

  • Monitors and executes all web development projects as assigned. Facilitates the execution of deliverables, activities, budgets, and deadlines for web development projects and individual client projects based on signed SOW.
  • Manage and deliver projects on budget, on time, and on schedule.
  • Work in tandem with the development team to coordinate work across shared resources
  • Over-communicate status, activities, and facilitate communication between account service and the development team
  • Recommend and develop technology, tools, and best practices for optimal website performance, quality, and visibility
  • Fulfill multiple project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Serve as the technical lead and primary contact for all web-based projects requiring outside vendors
  • Works as a conduit between Digital Team and Account Services Team to ensure seamless and flawless execution of all projects through the lens of “IOI” principles
  • Acts as a key point of contact for all agency partners on website development projects
  • Completes a daily timesheet

Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
  • Experience managing web development projects, preferably utilizing WordPress or similar content management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to hand-code HTML pages and layouts, including CSS style sheets
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and PHP a plus
  • Strong critical thinking skills with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
