Janie’s Cakes, a well-established baker of pound cakes based in Tyler, Texas, needed a new brand promise that would resonate with both current and new customers at a national level. Through the many years of partnership, Agency Creative conducted extensive research to help take the brand to the next level.

Logo This updated look maintains the sweet and southern culture of Janie’s Cakes but speaks to a larger and more national audience. The new logo design features the signature shape of a Janie’s Cake with a custom, hand-lettered font.
Photography New product photography wasn’t just a nice-to-have but essential to attracting customers and making sales in the food e-commerce space. The photography needed to showcase the unique features of a Janie’s Cake, such as the dollop filling in the center and that every cake is made with all-natural ingredients. This was accomplished by cutting into the cakes and showing the slices and placing the fresh ingredients next to the cakes. Natural lighting, wood tabletops and simple propping using actual items from Janie’s kitchen, such as plates, napkins, silverware and farm fresh eggs, highlight the authenticity and homemade detail of every Janie’s Cake.
Website This responsive website delivers a cohesive brand message with their signature blue and yellow and white stripes while providing a user-centric and intuitive e-commerce experience. The website includes multiple homepage banner images and landing pages that are swapped out for various upcoming holidays and occasions.
Digital Campaign Janie’s Cakes runs digital campaigns year round with holiday themed e-blasts and digital banners to drive holiday traffic to the website.
Results This integrated branding initiative resulted in a 118.25% improvement in conversion rates and decreased the cost per lead by 57% within the first campaign.
