And there is no doubt that a slew of memories that are associated with watching these films. Agency Creative decided to join in on the fun this season, and think out of the box with our very own Top 10 Christmas Movie Classics to watch.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Though Jim Carrey’s portrayal as the Grinch completely speaks for itself, we still can’t say enough about the movie that has it all. This Christmas flick is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and have you singing along in no time. You can’t help but fall in love with Cindy Lou Who’s warm spirit as she tries to rescue Mr. Grinch and bring him back to Whoville for Christmas. Also, who doesn’t want to live in Whoville?! It seems like prime real estate with a great home owners’ association.

The Santa Clause
Ever wonder what happens if you surprise Santa on the roof? Well, this movie covers that topic perfectly. Tim Allen does a fantastic job as Mr. Claus in this Christmas movie series. This fantasy family comedy-drama that makes you feel like a kid again as you watch Santa live a double life as Father Christmas and a single dad. And if you were hoping for a sequel, you’re in luck…there’s two!

Christmas Movie Classics

Home Alone
Speaking of feeling like a kid again, who doesn’t remember the theatrical holiday greatness that is the movie Home Alone? No Parents. No Problem. After being accidentally abandoned, Kevin looks on the bright side and delights in what every child dreams of: life without parents. This film is guaranteed to still make you laugh and wish you were Kevin McCallister, as the precocious 8-year-old successfully thwarts the invaders. Don’t like the original, there are three sequels to try out. Though our Office Manager, Rob Pexton, says Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is better. Then again, he may be a little biased since he’s from New York.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
Not many movies can double as Halloween and Christmas movie classics, but this one masters the concept. By far this is the film that turned a lot of us 90’s babies into avid Tim Burton fans. This movie is also perfect for a Christmas movie date night. Everyone wants a love like Jack and Sally.

Christmas Movie Classics

Ernest Saves Christmas
If you don’t remember the Earnest films, chances are you weren’t born yet when this classic came out. Jim Varney reprises his role in the Christmas comedy film as Ernest P. Worrell. Ernest is back at it again as he gets into shenanigans with Santa by his side. Talk about nostalgia. This movie is by far just one of Varney’s many classic Ernest films that we love and miss.

Christmas Movie Classics

Rise of the Guardians
An underrated film in our opinion, based on William Joyce’s The Guardians of Childhood book series. Though we’re including this film into our top Christmas movies, it features other fun characters such as the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the Sandman who accompany Jack Frost and Santa as they fight to save a variety of holidays. If you’ll always believe in the wonder of the holiday seasons this is the film for you. Although it may not be old enough to technically be considered a classic, it deserves a spot on our list anyway. Now cross your fingers for a sequel.

A Charlie Brown Christmas
Who doesn’t love the Peanuts? This is a nostalgic favorite that will forever be on the list for “best Christmas movie classics.” It is truly a must-watch every year, and that tree will forever be the best low-budget themed Christmas decoration.

Christmas Movie Classics

Jingle All the Way
Remember when Arnold Schwarzenegger used to be in comedy classics before he was the governor of California? Well we do. No other film relays the Christmas shopping craze better than this Christmas classic. If you’re a parent looking for a Hatchimals toy for your son or daughter you can sympathize with Arnold’s characters as he searches for the only toy his son really wants this season.

Christmas Movie Classics

I’ll Be Home for Christmas
Let’s take it back to the 90’s once again with this Disney Christmas movie classic. The year is 1998 and Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a heart-throb teen who could do no wrong. Add Jessica Biel and the Christmas snow and you have an instant classic.

Christmas Movie Classics

Edward Scissorhands
Now, in our opinion, this is a Christmas classic that could’ve held the entire list on its shoulders. Though not a typical Christmas movie, this romantic dark comedy is perfect to take you through the complete emotional spectrum this season. With a little bit of a Frankenstein’s monster vibe, a time period set in the late 70’s and dogs getting spectacular haircuts this film definitely wins first place our book. Unfortunately, in Texas it’s too hot to ever recreate the snow ice sculpter dance scene.
