Summer Account Executive Intern

We believe the Account Executive Intern will bring enthusiasm and fresh perspectives to client relationships while learning the fundamentals of account management. We want you to grow your business acumen, not have you simply complete tasks. It’s about understanding client needs, building communication skills, and supporting the delivery of strategic solutions that drive results.

Summery of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists in day-to-day client communications and under mentorship
  • Supports the account team in preparing client presentations and reports
  • Supports account team in daily deliverables, activities, budgets and deadlines for creative campaigns and individual client projects
  • Helps coordinate or participate in any phase of the project lifecycle, including opening jobs, closing jobs and developing necessary job documentation
  • Coordinates the development of project proposals/timelines
  • Adheres to the stated process and procedures of the agency
  • Learns to interpret client needs and translate them into actionable briefs for creative teams
  • Participates in client meetings to understand project objectives and expectations
  • Develops skills in project coordination and timeline management
  • Collaborates with Account Executives, Creative Directors, Project Managers and other team members
  • Builds understanding of client industries and markets
  • Supports research for new business opportunities and competitive analysis
  • Learns and adheres to company processes and client service standards
  • Researches new trends and developments in marketing and advertising

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Basic understanding of project management tools
  • Basic data analysis capabilities
  • Understanding of social media platforms
  • Research abilities

  • Basic understanding of marketing principles

Summary of Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and advertising processes
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
