New Weight Loss Marketing Campaign for Kim Bariatric Institute

Agency Creative has unveiled its latest weight loss marketing campaign for the Kim Bariatric Institute.

The Kim Bariatric Institute, one of North Texas’s leading weight loss surgery practices, has been a client of Agency Creative since 2012. Founded by Dr. David Kim, this certified bariatric practice has expanded to include offices in Frisco and Colleyville.

“Agency Creative collaborated with the Kim Bariatric Institute team to develop a campaign that would create synergy between TV advertising, digital advertising and social media,” said Mark Wyatt, Founder and CEO of Agency Creative. “We have evolved the KBI campaign to showcase each patient’s bariatric journey and the unique transformation that takes place. It is truly inspiring.”

This integrated weight loss marketing effort features three 30-second and three 15-second television commercials, patient portraits and five unique outdoor boards featuring custom extensions. Each tactic directs the audience to get more of the patient’s story at #ChangingMoreLives.


Television This integrated marketing effort features three 30-second and three 15-second television commercials capturing the “before and after” imagery using a slow motion unfurling of the “before” picture to reveal the slender, transformed patient. Each banner drop reveals a different patient.


The campaign commercials and billboards promote Dr. Kim’s patented inverted gastric sleeve –– a gastric sleeve that is double-sealed for greater strength and a lower leakage rate. In each commercial, Dr. Kim describes the procedure as “quite simply a better sleeve.”

Out Of Home The outdoor billboards showcase the patient’s transformation and promote Dr. Kim’s patented inverted gastric sleeve. Billboard messaging compliments the TV spots with a quote from Dr. Kim describing the procedure as “quite simply a better sleeve.”


“Before and after photos are used a lot in weight loss advertising,” stated Scott Schindele, Account Director for the Dallas-based agency. “So we knew we had to do it differently in order to break through the clutter.”

The Agency Creative team devised a slow motion unfurling of the before picture to reveal the slender, transformed patient. Each banner drop reveals a different patient.
